Ministries: Pray

Prayer, the lifting of mind and heart to God, plays an essential role in the life of a Catholic. Through prayer we enter into the presence of the Godhead dwelling in us. Prayer allows us to adore God by acknowledging His almighty power and allows us to bring our thanks, our petitions, and our sorrows before our Lord and God.

The Spirit of Love Prayer Community gathers together in the Chapel every Thursday beginning with the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, followed by song, praise, scripture readings, prayer, and sharing.

This program presents Sunday Scriptures to children at an age appropriate level in grades 1 through 4 throughout the school year. At the start of the 9:30 and 11:30 Sunday Masses, an instructor will lead the children to a place of study, and return them before the beginning of the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Volunteers are always welcome to participate, including youth in 7th grade and above. Training is available.

A fun team approach to help encourage praying the rosary, family prayer and growing together as a parish family. A team of ten families participate. One family is given a tote bag containing rosaries, instruction and intention books and holy cards to use for 3 days. The kit is displayed in their home as they pray and say the rosary. Then the tote bag is given the next family on the team until all ten have participated.
